Antrim Coast Road, Antrim Villages

The Antrim Coast Road as you pass through villages and towns is regarded as one of the World's most scenic drives and very popular on the list of Ireland tourist attractions -that's how good it is-world class. It is often referred to the Antrim Coast Road because it follows the scenic coastline of County Antrim and if you want a beautiful photo of Ireland or picture of Ireland you can take many of them in County Antrim.

The coastline of County Antrim Ireland tops everything-You will find sheer cliffs and it is incredibly exhilarating to see such natural Ireland landscapes as you watch the Atlantic crash into the cliff base. Stop the car, take a walk around some of these places and just enjoy nature-maybe take home some stunning Ireland landscape photos.

On your way stop at some gorgeous villages to see some of Northern Ireland's tourist attractions which are usually part of frequent Ireland tours to this part of the coast:

  • Ballycastle, site of the 400 year old Ould Lammas Fair.
  • Bushmills, site of the Old Bushmills Distillery and famous whiskey brand which was founded in 1608.
  • Dunluce Castle, dating from the 13th century and battered by the Atlantic Ocean
  • Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, a rope bridge to the tiny Carrick Island.
  • Portrush, and the nearby Giant's Causeway.

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge

This is another of the Antrim Coasts top tourist attractions. Great scenery and then the excitement of walking the bridge!

This 30-metre deep and 20-metre wide chasm is traversed by a rope bridge (yes a rope bridge!!) traditionally erected by salmon fishermen. Visitors bold enough to cross to the rocky island are rewarded with fantastic views. Problem is only one way back -over the bridge again!!!

So that is the first three County Antrim pictures of Ireland -now the next three.... Ireland photos Antrim style........

WhitePark Bay

Half way between Bushmills and Ballycastle, White Park Bay is a great place if you want to get away from the crowds on a sunny day.

Absolutely stunning beach, very tranquil and has hardly any other people on it compared to the beaches at Portrush, Portstewart which make it a little more magical !

Glenariff Waterfall

The Waterfall Walkway at Glenariff Forest Park passes through a National Nature Reserve. There are three waterfalls and forest trails that offer picturesque panoramic views and relaxing riverside walks.

There's also a  visitor centre, exhibition, interactive display, shop, caravan/camping site and a seasonal restaurant on site. Refresh a busy mind, the lovely air and the noise of the waterfalls. Glenariff is a really magical forest park with waterfalls and stunning north of Ireland landscapes scenery.

Titanic Belfast

It's just over a year since it opened its doors — but Titanic Belfast has already steamed ahead in popularity among tourists coming to Northern Ireland.

Titanic Belfast is a world-class visitor attraction. It is located in the heart of Titanic Quarter, on the historic site of the world-famous Titanic ship construction.

A very informative tour and at times you'll think you are on the ship iself . A must see when in Belfast.
